I'm gonna go with BLAKE

Wow! Finally... I managed to get most of my comments up for AI this year. And for the finale, I'm not gonna comment on each performance. Malas la... Just to sum up the 2 contestants; Jordin: She's a better singer than Blake. Blake: Other than Bo Bice's acapella performance of 'In A Dream', I think he is one of the best performer ever in AI history. Why I say Blake? Jordin is NOT the best singer in the competition. Mindy Doo was. If audience choose AI based on vocal, neither Jordin nor Blake should get the title. Mindy Doo should. I think this is a battle between 2 fan base. Jordin is the all American Girl singer and Blake is the next generation performer. So I choose Blake because both of them don't deserve to get the title because of their vocal. Blake wins my vote because he is a great performer on stage. This season, it's not about the singing anymore. It's about the whole package.

Way to go Miss Doolittle!

I would like to start off my review by saying, WHAT THE HECK WERE THE JUDGES THINKING?????????? No! I'm not talking about AI. I'm talking about our Miss Universe 2007. Maybe beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder BUT the beholder is not the one who's deciding who gets the crown. At least get somebody who doesn't scare the judges away with the classic 'Ah Soh' look. Such a let down... Now back to Idol. Top 3 already... So fast! It feels like only yesterday Ian Bernardo made a fool out of himself. If you dunno who Ian bernardo is, checkout youtube for his audition. He's even bitchier than Marc (Wilhemina's assistant in Ugly Betty). All in all, tonight, was a good show. Mindy Doo: 1st performance; I Believe In You And Me, was good. No one can ever sing like Whitney but Mindy's version was good too. She made the song singable by normal people with normal singing range. 2nd song; Nut Bush City Limits, I've never heard the song but am loving the ener...

Oh Abang Jon!

I'm so much biased and more critical this week because Bon Jovi is my favourite rock group of all time! What's not to love? Richie Sambora? Hot! Tico Torres? Hot! David Bryan? Great musician! Abang Jon? Super duper extra hot with his Superman tattoo on the side! Not to mention their music rawks! This week, is one of the best week I've seen on idol. Again, might be because of the whole Bon Jovi theme but also I think the contestants really dig into their inner rocker feel. My negative comment would be on Paula Abdul's attire. The theme clearly says 'ROCK' and she came looking like someone who just came back from a meeting. Before I get all emotional on her baju, lemme go into my list this week... Mindy Doo: Excellent song choice! I thought she would do a slow number to suit her better. Instead, she rawks it with Have A Nice Day. I love her attitude that compliments the song as well. I think one of my favourite Mindy Doo moment throughout Idol. Phil: Blaze Of Glor...

You look nice tonight Mr Cowell!

My two favourite things combined together tonight: White rolled-up sleeve shirt + Simon Cowell He looked absolutely attractive! And the video clips of him going around doing charity actually gives us a glimpse of his human side. It's really hard to be half human and half pure evil... Like Catherine, I kno she's strugling to blend in but wat's up wif the weather lately? Did Janice piss you off again? Heheheheheh... Anyway; back to the show, I'm not feeling very well today. Down wif a possibility of getting a fever. My throat hurts and burns. I slept at 4am last nite. I'm still doing the whole re-enactment of puking scene of the Exorcist... Sigh... Not much in a mood until I saw Simon in a white shirt... :). Here's my list for the week: Phil: This is the first time he gave me goosebumps. The song was good and his vocal was excellent. I agree with Simon. he should put a little bit of the 'country vibe' in it to give the perfect coating. Mindy Doo: Obviou...

Yeehaw!

Me not liking the genre for AI this week, might have some effect towards my opinion. It's not that I dislike it. I'm just not a fan. There are some songs that I like and some singers that I think is great like Kenny Rogers and Keith Urban. Maybe it's the song choice tonight that I'm not liking. Anyways, just a quick one. We'll start from the bottom this time: 7. Lakisha - I hate her attitude. The look on her face when the judges gave her their comments is so "You are so wrong and I'm so gonna be the next American Idol". Carrie sang that song beautifully and she screamed the song very poorly. 6. Chris - Nasal boy using his natural ability as an excuse... Some people does sound nasally (like Siti Nurhaliza) sometimes but at least they sound good. He sounded not so good and using it as an excuse is so gonna cost him this week. 5. Sanjaya - I agree with Simon. It was fun keeping him for a few weeks but this has got to stop. I like the song. He could actual...

Besame Mucho!

He did it again. This time I'm pretty sure it's the song and his performance. I'm so excited to give this week's review that I didn't want to wait a minute before the show is over to start typing. Maybe it's the confusing pregnancy hormones (I did went to work this morning at 7am on my annual leave day!). But let's get loud children!!!! So this week's theme is Latin. My prediction of them singing either Gloria Estefan or Santana is correct. Jennifer Lopez looked 'tall and leggy'. Did she put on extra legs? But she did give some good advice that some of them choose to ignore. I will further discuss this... Now... For my list of the week. Don't be surprised but I feel he deserves to be where he is in the list this week. :p Look at his 'I'm not a girl, not yet a woman' face! The janggut and misai looks drawn instead of grown. Throughout the performance he was seducing the camera instead of the audience. At the end of the song he look...

Gina is out!

Good afternoon friends! I apologize for the delay of my 'ulasan' this week. My network card @ home got struck by the lightning and I can't masuk internet for the time being. Hence, am doing this in the ofis.... As the title says, Gina Glocksen is out this week. Sorry if this spoils the fun of those who likes to wait for the results show. Here's my list for the week; Chris - Yes... Yes... I like his performance this week. I thought it was good. Vocally and the whole thing.... Mindy - Like Simon said, 'we'll never be able to criticize you'..... Jordin - She really can belt it out. I dun like her outfit. She looks like a waitress.... Blake - I like the song. Goes well with his voice. Lakisha - No comment... Sanjaya - I always sing that song in the ofis... "Heaven... I'm in heaven..." That bit only la... He can actually sing but needs to stop 'smiling'. The smile is spoiling his vocal... Gina - Serves her right for answering back at Simon. ...

And the results are in...

As expected, Chubby Chris goes home this week. Bottom 3 was him, Haley and Phil. Jiggly is safe again this week. Geez! Enuff with her already!!!! We have Sanjaya to survive with for God knos how many more weeks. Not another tag-along person!!!!!!!! Nways... I was thinking about the songs that I would like them to sing but none came up to my mind. I guess my creativity and imagination is not as active as before. Hence, I spend my off day morning by 'decorating' my blog. Notice the loads of links and watevers? Also that picture of Oscar the Grouch is one of my favourites. I actually labelled most of my entries as well. That's how free I am today. I just finished downloading Supernatural and Smallville episode16. I'll be watching it later in the afternoon. I wanted to catch the Idol re-run at 11am but was so hooked up with organizing the blog. Oh well! I can always watch the performances in youtube. Also, here's the latest Harry Potter book cover. The final book is cal...

Gwen Stefani is the coolest!

In my opinion, another good week for the AI. Not only because half of them did a good job, also due to Gwen Stefani. I think she's one of the most excellent artist. She definitely don't have the voice, but the 'package' is great. Funky songs that don't require you to be vocally 'Mindy-Doody' (another new vocab which means professionally excellent singer) , fashionably fantastic, very unique style (rambut, makeup...etc..), and not to mention a very beautiful husband (he was gorgeous in Constantine!). But enough about Gwen Stefani. My time on the PC now is 7.21pm and it's only 21 minutes past the AI in astro. I have a few 'surprises', so can't wait to share my thoughts with you folks. Same as always, my list from top to bottom. Mindy Doo - Some might feel her song choice was too boring but I love it. At least she don't sing sobsob songs like 'Jiggly Scarnato'... Phil Stacey - One of my 'surprises' this week. I love the whole...

Bravo! Wot a good show!

I enjoyed tonight's show not just because most of them sang nicely, but because the song selections were fantastic. So here's my komens...... Listed below from my fave to the least: Mindy Doo - The song choice was absurdly boring but she kept me playing the performance clip in youtube for almost 10 times in 30 minutes. Not a tune sang badly. Chris Richardson - Nasal boy did his homework very well. I love the song and the performance. So sexy... Jordin Sparks - Like Simon, I feel like my love life was ending and the sun will never shine again. The emotion was good and the vocal was even better. Not liking the song choice of you don't get my first sentence. Blake Lewis - Only one word could describe the whole performance: ZIAHLICIOUS (quirky, weird, excellent, super sexy vibe... Cat, don't even think about rolling your eyes! Ben, haha! Funny! I'm not referring myself as 'sexy'. It's just the word 'ziahlicious' sounded like 'sexy') Chris Sli...

Mindy Doo! Where have you been all these years?

Been having a very hectic week since last... Here's an update of my so called 'hectic week' My mommy was admitted in Damansara Specialist due to Asthma (told her she's getting old to climb 24 HUGE staircase 6 times a day)... She's fine and out of the hospital since yesterday. I've been having really, really, REALLY painful backaches. One unimaginable pain that I have never encountered EVER in my life. To the extend that I'd rather pee on my bed than try to even get up to take 6 small steps to the toilet. Note to self: Thank mom for carrying me 9 months in her tummy, & make sure my kid reads this blog when she's old enough... My maid still on holiday so I had to do laundry, clean house...etc... I enjoy doing it but restrictions no fun! I can't do dusting the shelves and kipas angin. I can't clean the cat's cages or buang the poo-poo. So, me being 'Monica' not very fun when I can't BE 'Monica'. But at least, despite all ...

Vote for Melinda!

The title says it all... So let's get straight to the point! Gina Glocksen : Okla... Better than last week. Alaina Alexander : Better than last week too. Lakisha Jones : Very good vocal, but I x fancy the performance that much. She lack something, which I x kno what... Hmm...?! Melinda Doolittle : God! I hope she wins... Antonella Barba : B***H! When people give advise, don't make face. You really suck! Jordin Sparks : Good... But still can do better. Leslie Hunt : I prefer AJ's version of the song. And what's with the 80's outfit? Or was she trying to do the Avril Lavigne bit? I'm confused.... Haley Scarnato : Weird performance. I like her voice tonite tho. Stephanie Edwards : Great vocal, great baju, great body! Sabrina Sloan : Still one of my favourite despite of me hating the song. My verdict: Antonella can say goodbye to everyone (tsk... comparing herself to Jennifer Hudson... What was she thinking?). And I'm torn between Haley and Alaina. Haley got bet...

I disagree with the judges!

I don't kno what's wrong with me tonite. Or maybe there's something wrong with Randy, Simon and Paula. I disagree with watever comments they gave to the top 10 boys... Ok... IMO; Phil Stacey : He can sing but what's with the song selection? I don't like the performance. I thought that it was too safe for him choosing that type of song. Jared Cotter : CORNY! AJ Tabaldo : I like his performance. Still a bit gay-ish (again, no offence to anyone. Remember! I love George Michael...) but it was good. I still think he won't make it to the top 12... Sanjaya Malakar : He should not be on stage again next week, BUT I think he's got a really strong fan base. Michael Jackson wannabe. he even sound like MJ when he talks! Scary.... Chris Sligh : Call me biased but I love his voice. The song, not so much, but the voice is superb. He doesn't have any problem singing. I hope he choose better songs... Brandon Rogers : Even my aunt (Kak Norma) asked me , 'Brandon who?...

Ladies Nite - Da'Bomb!

Impressive... That's all I wanna say about last nite. So here's my list again, and the verdict of who get's to go home tonite.... Melinda Doolittle - From the beginning, until the end of her performance, she was 'PERFORMING'. She's so humble and that will win the viewers. LaKisha Jones - WOW! She really, really can sing. Sabrina Sloan - Amazing vocal... She reminds me of Mya (lookwise). Jordin Sparks - Another good singer with a big voice. She reminded me of the girl who plays Ugly Betty. Stephanie Edwards - I think everybody agrees if I say she looks like Fantasia. But most definitely better singing.... The rest of them - Average singing. My verdict: Amy Krebs (tsk..tsk..tsk... Thinking that you can beat people like Lakisha with that type of song...) and Alaina Alexander (I don't think her looks can save her. It was really bad) So my top 5 performances overall: Melinda LaKisha Sabrina Blake Jordin

AI6 - The boys

I'm stuck at home, having measles and fever! The least that the world could offer me was a good show!!!! I'm not gonna say much about it. Let me just give you nice people my verdict of last nite's show; let me put it in a list from top to bottom of the performance that I liked... Blake Lewis - very good, very original Phil Stacey - the standard was pretty low last nite. At least he doesn't sound that bad and I kno the song. Jared Cotter - he's really cute!!!!! ok la... can sing.. only the ending part was weird. Chris Sligh - he disappoints me! the song choice was not good at all. He was right about the whole 'Il Divo' thing (padan muka Simon) but it was kind of harsh for a first show. The rest of the contestants... - they all sucked big time!!!! The 2 person that will leave the show: Paul Kim (I'm biased on this... He ruined my favourite male artist's song!!!!) and AJ Tabaldo (the whole performance was too gay-ish : no offence to any gay person. I ...

Let the competition begins! Boys night out...

It's that time of the year again... No, not the income tax review. It's the top 24 show for Season 6 of American Idol. This year, I had the opportunity of watching all of the audition shows (amazing! my 'schedule' likes me this year... :p). In my opinion, this year, the boys are much, much, much better than the girls (notice the 'much'x3). So since next week's show will be the top 12 boys going for the top 6 spots, I'll start the guessing game with them first. I dunno who this dude is... Let me find his name... Err.... AJ Tabaldo . Oh! Now I remember him! Err... Nope... Still haven't got a clue. Blake Lewis , the Beat-Boxer. To tell you the truth, I've never heard him singing. It's always the beat boxing thingy but he's good. I liked the group performance in Hollywood. It was excellent! Not my favourite contestant, but might be able to win America's heart to the top 6. The backup singer dude; Brandon Rogers . He can sing but not that ...
